Veterinary Associate & Surgeon
Desert Pines Equine Medical and Surgical Center, a progressive, established, six-veterinarian practice that includes a board-certified surgeon and internist and excellent support staff located in Las Vegas, Nevada, is seeking a veterinary associate and surgeon to help us continue our tradition of excellence.
How to Apply
Associate Veterinarian applicants must be in completion in good standing of a DVM or VMD degree at an accredited university and have a veterinary license and accreditation to practice in the state of Nevada. Completion of an internship or a few years in practice is required.
Equine Surgeon applicants can be board qualified or individuals who have completed surgery residency training. Applicants must be in completion in good standing of a DVM or VMD degree from an accredited university, or a graduate of a college of veterinary medicine that has completed The Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates® (ECFVG®) certification program, and has a veterinary license and accreditation to practice in the state of Nevada.

The Clinic has a surgical suite, two large exam/treatment rooms, ICU stalls and barn for hospitalization, three digital x-ray units, 1 and 3-meter endoscopy, digital ultrasound, arthroscopy/laparoscopy equipment, power-float dental equipment, extracorporeal shock wave therapy, a class iV laser, IRAP processing, PRP and an in-house lab.

Plus, it's home to professional sports teams including The Raiders( NFL) and The Las Vegas Golden Knights ( NHL) as well as a large number of national equestrian events from show jumpers to professional rodeo.
Desert Pines Equine is looking for 2 or more credentialed large animal veterinary technicians. We are a busy, fast paced 6 doctor practice in Southern Nevada. Our team provides ambulatory and clinic appointments. We are a full-service surgical facility with hospitalized cases. We are looking for self-starting, organized, motivated individuals whom are team players.
Skills preferred but willing to teach a committed individual are:
- Surgical assistance/anesthesia.
- Performing treatments on hospitalized patients.
- Rotating weekends and nights on call required.
- Horse handling.
- Field work, including being able to work on a computer in a moving vehicle.
- Entering records/invoices into the system. We are currently using HVMS.
